![]() It’s not wildly complex, it won’t blow your socks off, but it will mix well with cocktails and is perfectly drinkable neat. Tullamore DEW is good as far as a standard Irish blend goes. Ok balance, medium body and a soft silken feel. Medium fade out of malt, toffee, dried fruit and spice that fades out to a metallic and alcohol heavy note. The darker earthy notes are what help it stand out from other Irish blends on the market. Honey, banana chips, red apple, toffee, earthy malt, nutmeg and a touch cinnamon and copper. ![]() It’s interesting and more dynamic than most other 40% chill-filtered Irish blends. Tullamore DEW Infoīlend: Irish Single Malt Whiskey, Irish Grain Whiskey There’s really not a whole lot else to say about this one so let’s just hop right on down to the Tullamore DEW review. “Triple distilled and patiently aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this original blended Irish whiskey is known the world over for its smooth and gentle complexity.” I don’t know exactly what they do different, but it’s great. It has a heavier feel to it than many blends (Irish or Scottish) and carries with it a nice sense of malt despite there not being much. When it comes to just regular old blended Irish Whiskey Tullamore DEW is one of the better options and one of my favorites to keep around the house for mixing and even sipping now and then.
